In 1998, the Lord gave Pastor Danny Thornton a vision of an evangelistic plan for this city, based on a biblical principle.  Pastor Danny is the the Founder of the Solid Rock Outreach Ministries, Inc. and Sr. Pastor of the River of Life Church in Syracuse, New York.  He has a heart for this great city of destiny.  He has ministered in the streets of Syracuse for close to 28 years and seeing desperate people with desperate children receive the hope of the Gospel brings him great joy. He believes that the church is not just a place to go to, but a place to go from! He believes that God has given him a plan to work for this city for His Glory.

The Lord did not release Pastor Thornton to go forward with the plan until now.  The plan is as simple as ordering pizza. Someone calls the Network Hot-line and asks for a prayer team to be released to their home/business/hospital/nursing home. After the request has been properly screened by the Dispatcher, a Team is assigned and a second screening is done. Then they are “unleashed to a welcoming home”. What an opportunity! Imagine, being INVITED to come in to someone’s home and talk about Jesus and pray for a manifestation of His Miraculous Power!

The Prayer Teams will be trained so that all are on the same “page” and Pastoral approval are a must. It is essential that the 2 x 2 volunteer workers are committed to a local church and their Pastor. Training will include: protocol to enter each home and how to respond in different situations; leading someone to Salvation by Jesus Christ; how to minister Holy Communion that will promote the releasing of Faith; how to minister healing and guiding people to Bible Believing Holy Spirit led churches
